My husband loves peanut butter and this popcorn is perfect. This is a very quick recipe and easy to make. Instead of spooning the chocolate I put the melted chocolate into a zip lock bag, twisted it, and cut of the tip. Then I piped the chocolate on the popcorn. I did not have any problems with this recipe what so ever.
3 batches of popcorn later….we were ready to bag.
Chocolate Peanut Butter Popcorn
1/2 cup unpopped popcorn
1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
1 tsp. butter
2 tsp. brown sugar
coarsely chopped semi-sweet chocolate, or chocolate chips
Line two baking sheets with wax paper. Pop popcorn in an air-popper , I love my Whirley popper, Spread popcorn in an even layer on prepared baking sheets. Combine peanut butter, butter, and brown sugar in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave in 20 second intervals and stir, until melted and drizzle-able (shhh, it’s a word!) Drop the peanut butter mixture in spoonfuls over the popcorn and gently toss to coat evenly (I find this is best done by hand). In another microwave-safe bowl, heat the chocolate in 20 second intervals until fully melted. Drizzle over the popcorn. Let the chocolate set before serving. Store in an airtight container.
